About this place
Yushun brings together izakaya favourites such as sashimi, kushikatsu and tempura with Chinese dishes and small hot pots. The tempura assortment lets you choose from items including shrimp, octopus, sillago and aubergine; the kushikatsu platter includes beef, pork and chicken, as well as quail eggs, sausages and onion. For a few individual plates, there is tuna and grated yam or tuna yukhoe, each 480 yen, and sliced yam for 290 yen. The menu works equally well for an evening of drinks and small bites or a meal around a chicken hot pot, yudofu or yosenabe.
Chinese dishes add another dimension to the menu: options include Chinese-style yakisoba, seafood sara udon and spicy mapo tofu, along with fried rice and curry fried rice. To finish the meal in one place, consider fried rice, ochazuke for 380 yen or grilled rice balls. Drinks include a medium draft beer for 480 yen and a large sake for 700 yen. Taru-hi cocktails come in flavours such as grapefruit, lemon and yuzu.
Yushun welcomes both solo diners and groups, and reservations are available. Payment is cash only, so plan ahead before you go.
